The area of
Piedmont presents varied natural environments due to the differences in
relief. 1 930 km² are protected zones, about less than 8 % of the
total surface. The national park of the Great Paradise, with horse
between the Valley of Aoste and Piedmont is most known. Its landscapes
of high mountain and its fauna rich in ibexes are evocative. The Valley
Large east is also a national park. Moreover one does not count less
than 56 parks or regional reserves. The marshy zones of the plain of
Pô were the subject of particular care. The high valley of Suse
is also a mountain space with protected zones (Rochemelon)
